Dough:
- 2 cans Pillsbury Country biscuits (10 pieces per can) or 1 can of Grands biscuits
Apple Pie Filling:
- 1 cup roughly chopped apple pie filling
Topping:
- ½ cup melted butter
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- Prepare the Dough: Open the biscuit cans and roll each biscuit into a 4-inch circle with a rolling pin. If using Grands biscuits, split each biscuit into two layers.
- Assemble the Bombs: Place 1 tablespoon of apple pie filling in the center of each dough circle. Pull the edges over the filling and pinch to seal. Roll gently into a ball. Place the apple pie bombs in the air fryer basket, spaced about 1 inch apart. Cook in batches.
- Bake: Close the air fryer and set the temperature to 380°F. Bake until golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.
- Prepare the Topping: While the first batch is baking, mix the sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
- Continue Baking: Transfer the baked apple pie bombs to a cooling rack and repeat the baking process with the remaining bombs.
- Finish with Butter and Cinnamon Sugar: Dip the warm bombs in melted butter to coat, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Return them to the cooling rack and continue with the remaining bombs.
