Instructions

  1. Chop parsley: Place the parsley in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Remove and set aside.
  2. Chop onions: In the same food processor bowl, place the quartered onion and pulse until finely chopped. Drain slightly to remove excess moisture.
  3. Combine ingredients: Return the parsley to the food processor with the onions. Add the ground beef and all the spices. Pulse once or twice until the ingredients are well combined and form a pasty meat mixture.
  4. Form Kafta shapes: Transfer the mixture to a large bowl. Shape the mixture into about 12 oblong patties approximately 1 inch thick. Optionally, form them around wooden skewers.
  5. Preheat grill: Grease the grates of a gas grill or indoor grill pan and preheat to medium-high heat.
  6. Grill Kafta: Place the Kafta on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, adjusting for desired doneness.
  7. Serve: Serve hot directly from the grill with your preferred side dishes.
