  • 3 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil

For Homemade Cajun Seasoning:

  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Garlic: Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Melt: Add the remaining butter, parsley, lemon juice, and Cajun seasoning. Whisk to combine, then cook for five minutes.
  3. Homemade Cajun Seasoning: Mix all ingredients together. Note: this recipe makes more seasoning than needed for the butter.

  • You can adjust the spice level by increasing or decreasing the amount of cayenne pepper.
