Ingredients:
- 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple
- 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 12 tablespoons butter, (cut into 24 slices)
- Preheat oven and prepare baking dish: Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and spray a 9 X 13-inch baking dish with nonstick baking spray.
- Layer pineapple: Spread the crushed pineapple with the juice from 1 can into the prepared baking dish.
- Add cherry pie filling: Spread the cherry pie filling from 1 can on top of the crushed pineapple.
- Top with cake mix: Evenly spread the yellow cake mix from 1 box over the layers of pineapple and cherry, pressing down firmly.
- Top with butter: Arrange the slices of butter (12 tablespoons) evenly over the top of the cake mix.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the top is deep golden brown and bubbly.
