  • ¼ teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper (plus extra for garnish if desired)
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ cup Chicken Broth

For the Gravy:

  • 4 tablespoons Butter
  • ¼ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 3 cups Chicken Broth

For Garnish:

  • Chopped parsley
  • Sliced green onions
  • Chopped chives
  • Sprinkle of paprika
  • Extra black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Combine salt, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, and black pepper. Season chicken on both sides.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet, cook chicken for 3 minutes on each side, then add ½ cup broth and simmer until cooked through.
  3. Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, melt butter, add flour, cook for 1-2 minutes, then slowly add 3 cups broth, stirring until smooth.
  4. Combine and Serve: Shred the cooked chicken, add to the gravy, and cook for 5 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and garnish as desired.
