Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cilantro, lightly packed
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed if less spicy desired
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Wash and lightly pack 2 cups of fresh cilantro. Remove seeds from the jalapeno pepper if you prefer a milder sauce. Peel the garlic clove.
  2. Blend the Sauce: Add the cilantro, sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, jalapeno, garlic, and salt into a small food processor or blender. Pulse or blend just until the mixture is smooth and creamy but still has some texture, with visible green specks of cilantro for visual appeal.
  3. Refrigerate: Transfer the sauce into an airtight container and refrigerate until ready to use, ideally for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

  • Jalapeno – Adjust the amount according to your preferred spice level. Removing seeds will reduce the heat.
