  • 200 g Rump/Sirloin steak
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • ½ tsp Sugar
  • ¼ tsp White Pepper

Stir Fry Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Light soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt

Additional Ingredients:

  • ½ Sweet Onion
  • ½ Bell Pepper
  • 23 Spring Onions
  • 23 Birdeye/hot chillies
  • 1 cup Corn/Potato Starch (Flour)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef: Cut beef into thin strips and marinate with all marinade ingredients. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Prepare stir fry sauce: Combine all stir fry sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Coat beef: Add egg to marinated beef, then coat with corn/potato starch.
  4. Fry beef: Deep fry coated beef until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  5. Stir fry: Sauté onions and bell peppers, then add beef, sauce mix, spring onions, and chillies. Stir well.
  6. Serve: Transfer to a plate and serve hot with rice or noodles.

  • Ensure beef strips are well coated with starch for a crispy texture.
  • Adjust chilli quantity based on spice preference.
  • For a healthier option, you can also stir fry beef instead of deep frying.
