  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

Honey Garlic Sauce

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 12 teaspoons chili garlic paste (optional)
  • 23 large cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • Pinch of salt

For Serving

  • Thinly sliced green onions
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 450°F and grease a large baking sheet.
  2. Prepare Tofu: In a bowl, mix milk, flour, and spices to create a thick batter. Coat tofu chunks in the batter, then coat with panko. Spread tofu on the baking sheet and bake until golden brown and crispy, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Make Sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl and cook in a pan until thickened.
  4. Coat Tofu: Add the baked tofu to the sauce, coating it completely. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
