This Crockpot BBQ Chicken recipe is a simple and delicious way to enjoy tender, flavorful pulled chicken with your favorite barbecue sauce. Perfect for sandwiches, wraps, or served over rice.

Chicken:

  • 2 pounds chicken breasts (about 4 large), boneless skinless

BBQ Sauce:

  • 1.5 cups BBQ sauce, use your favorite
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

For serving:

  • Buns, coleslaw, etc.

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in your slow cooker. Add everything except for the chicken to a bowl and stir it together until smooth.
  2. Pour the sauce over the chicken and toss so it’s well coated. Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours (I do 3.5 hours) or on low for 6-7 hours.
  3. Shred the chicken right in the slow cooker using two forks, then stir it so it’s coated in the sauce. If needed, add some salt & pepper prior to serving.
