For the Beef Filling:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (1 ounce packet) taco seasoning (about 2 tablespoons)

For the Cream Cheese Mixture:

  • 8 ounce cream cheese (room temp)
  • ½ cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Additional Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 12 small flour tortillas
  • Sour cream, salsa, tomatoes, etc. for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: Cook the ground beef, crumble, and drain.
  2. Season the Beef: Add the taco seasoning packet and follow the instructions to season the ground beef.
  3. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until almost fluffy. Slowly add salsa and blend well.
  4. Assemble the Taco Pockets: Spread a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture on a tortilla. Top with seasoned ground beef and cheddar cheese. Fold the tortilla like a burrito and place on a greased baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Brush the tops of the taco pockets with melted butter and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Garnish with sour cream, salsa, tomatoes, or your favorite toppings.
