This Easy Layered Taco Bake is a delicious twist on traditional tacos, with layers of seasoned ground beef, salsa con queso, flour tortillas, and gooey cheese. It’s a simple and satisfying meal that the whole family will love.

Ground Beef:

  • 1 pound ground beef

Taco Seasoning:

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Water:

  • water as called for on back of seasoning packet (usually 3/4 cup water)

Salsa con Queso:

  • 1/2 cup salsa con queso

Flour Tortillas:

  • 3 (8-inch) flour tortillas (soft taco size)

Mexican Cheese Blend:

  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend (divided use)

Instructions

  1. Brown and Crumble Ground Beef: Brown and crumble 1 pound ground beef. Drain excess grease.
  2. Season the Meat: Add in 1 packet taco seasoning and water as called for on back of seasoning packet (usually 3/4 cup) following directions on back of seasoning packet.
  3. Add Queso: Once the taco meat is ready, turn off heat and add in 1/2 cup salsa con queso. Stir until thoroughly combined.
  4. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Spray an 8-inch round baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Layer Ingredients: Layer the bottom of the pan with one flour tortilla.
  6. Layering: Add about 1/3 of the ground beef taco filling, followed by 1/3 of the shredded Mexican cheese blend. Repeat layering.
  7. Bake: Bake at 350F degrees for about 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are slightly golden brown.
  8. Serve: Allow to cool for a couple of minutes. Slice and serve, topping with desired toppings.
