Ingredients

Scale

Pasta

  • 12 ounces uncooked spaghetti

Sauce & Seasoning

  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pepper to taste

Protein & Cheese

  • 2 cups cooked turkey, shredded or chopped
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F and position the rack in the top third of the oven to ensure even baking and browning of the casserole.
  2. Cook pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti for 2 minutes less than the package directions to keep it slightly firm, as it will continue cooking in the oven.
  3. Prepare sauce mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, chicken broth, onion powder, garlic powder, and pepper. Stir in the cooked turkey until well mixed.
  4. Combine pasta and sauce: Drain the spaghetti and transfer it to a 9×13 inch casserole dish. Pour the turkey and sauce mixture over the spaghetti and toss gently to combine everything evenly.
  5. Add cheese topping: Spread the mixture in an even layer in the casserole dish. Sprinkle the freshly grated parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Bake and finish: Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or until the casserole is hot and bubbling. For a golden cheese crust, optionally broil the casserole for a few minutes—watch carefully to avoid burning.

Notes

  • You can substitute cream of chicken soup if desired for a slightly different flavor.
  • Use leftover cooked turkey or rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Broiling at the end enhances the cheese topping but requires close monitoring to prevent burning.
  • For a lighter version, consider reducing the cheese or swapping sour cream with Greek yogurt.
