  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • Crushed red chili pepper flakes, optional

  • 2 bunches of asparagus, rinsed and trimmed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken skewers: Slice chicken breasts into chunks. Combine olive oil, soy sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and onion powder in a bowl. Marinate chicken in the sauce, reserving half, for 15 minutes to overnight.
  2. Prepare the asparagus: Blanch asparagus in boiling water for 2 minutes, then cool in ice water. Thread chicken onto skewers. Grill chicken and asparagus, basting with olive oil, until cooked.
  3. Serve: Sprinkle chicken and asparagus with red chili pepper flakes, parsley, lemon slices, and reserved sauce. Enjoy!
