Ingredients

Scale

Butter and Sweetener

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Main Ingredients

  • 1 bag (16 oz) frozen corn or corn ribs
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, cut into chunks

Seasoning

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter and Honey: In a skillet pan, preferably cast-iron, melt the butter and honey over medium-high heat until completely melted and combined, creating a sweet buttery base for the corn.
  2. Cook the Corn: Add the frozen corn or corn ribs to the skillet. Cook for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is fully heated through and begins to absorb the buttery honey mixture.
  3. Add Cream Cheese and Season: Mix in the cream cheese chunks, salt, and black pepper. Stir continuously and let cook an additional 3-5 minutes until the cream cheese melts and evenly coats the corn, forming a creamy texture.
  4. Serve: Serve the Honey Butter Skillet Corn immediately while warm. Store any leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use unsalted butter and adjust salt to taste.
  • You can substitute fresh corn if available; reduce cooking time accordingly.
  • Cast-iron skillets provide even heat distribution but a heavy-bottomed pan will also work.
  • Leftovers reheat well in a skillet or microwave.
  • Adjust honey amount to desired sweetness level.
