These Lettuce Wrap Burgers are a lighter, low-carb alternative to traditional burgers, using crisp lettuce leaves as a tasty substitute for buns. They are quick and easy to make, perfect for a healthier meal option.

Ingredients

Scale

Ground Beef Patties:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Lettuce Wraps:

  • Iceberg lettuce leaves (or any lettuce of your choice)
  • Burger toppings of your choice (e.g., tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, cheese slices, avocado slices)

Instructions

  1. Prepare The Beef Patties – Season the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the seasoned beef into equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  2. Cook The Burger Patties – Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  3. Assemble The Lettuce Wraps – Wash and pat dry the lettuce leaves, then use them as wraps for your burgers. Place a cooked burger patty on each lettuce leaf.
  4. Add Toppings – Add your favorite burger toppings on top of the burger patties. Toppings can include tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, cheese slices, and avocado slices.
  5. Wrap And Serve – Carefully fold the lettuce leaves around the burger patties and toppings to form lettuce wraps. Secure the wraps with toothpicks if needed, then serve immediately and enjoy!
