Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Dough:

  • 1 lb (450g) pizza dough

Steak Filling:

  • 1/2 lb (225g) thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1/2 cup (80g) sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup (80g) sliced green bell peppers
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Additional Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (100g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Marinara or cheese sauce, for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Sauté the filling: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Cook sliced steak until browned, about 3–4 minutes. Add onions and bell peppers and cook until softened, 3–5 more minutes. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let mixture cool slightly.
  3. Roll out dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll pizza dough into a large rectangle (about ¼-inch thick). Cut into 6–8 equal strips, depending on how large you want the breadsticks.
  4. Assemble the breadsticks: Spoon a line of the steak-pepper mixture and some mozzarella cheese along the center of each strip. Fold over and pinch the edges to seal tightly into a log shape.
  5. Bake: Place breadsticks seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with dried parsley if using. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Let cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara or cheese sauce for dipping.
