4.8 from 69 reviews

This homemade Sugar Free Condensed Milk recipe uses heavy cream, butter, and a granulated sweetener to create a rich, creamy, and sweetened condensed milk without any added sugar. Perfect for diabetics or anyone looking to reduce sugar intake, it’s a simple stovetop recipe that can be used in desserts, coffee, or baking.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sweetener of choice (such as allulose or erythritol)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: Add the heavy cream, butter, granulated sweetener, and optional vanilla extract into a small saucepan.
  2. Simmer the mixture: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring regularly to prevent burning. Once it starts to simmer, reduce the heat to very low and let it simmer gently for around 45 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened and reduced.
  3. Cool and store: Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the condensed milk to cool completely. Transfer it to a glass jar or container and refrigerate until ready to use. It will thicken further as it cools.

Notes

  • You can use any granulated low-carb sweetener such as allulose, erythritol, or a blend suitable for cooking.
  • Simmering time may vary slightly based on your stove and pan; the mixture should thicken to a syrupy consistency.
  • Vanilla extract is optional but adds a pleasant flavor.
  • Store the condensed milk in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
