A festive and refreshing Thanksgiving Margarita combining the crisp flavors of apple cider and pear juice with smooth gold tequila, orange liqueur, and a hint of cinnamon. Perfect for holiday gatherings to add a unique twist to your cocktail menu.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquids

  • 2 oz 100% apple cider
  • 2 oz pear juice
  • 1½ oz gold tequila
  • 1 oz Grand Marnier or orange liqueur

For Glass Preparation

  • Salt (for rimming the glass)
  • Simple syrup or lime wedge (to adhere salt to glass)

Other

  • Ice
  • Cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
  • Additional lime wedge (for squeezing over ice and rimming the glass)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass: Pour a 1/4″ layer of salt on a small plate. Run a lime wedge along the rim of your cocktail glass to moisten it, then turn the glass upside down and gently press the rim into the salt to coat it evenly.
  2. Add Ice and Lime: Scoop ice into the prepared glass until it is about 3/4 full. Squeeze the remaining lime wedge over the ice to add a fresh citrus note.
  3. Mix the Drink: In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the apple cider, pear juice, gold tequila, and Grand Marnier. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  4. Strain and Serve: Strain the mixed cocktail, including the ice, into the prepared glass.
  5. Garnish: Finish by placing a whole cinnamon stick into the drink for an aromatic garnish that complements the fall flavors.

Notes

  • Use gold tequila for a richer flavor profile that blends well with the autumn ingredients.
  • If you prefer a sweeter margarita, add a splash of simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Chill the cocktail glass beforehand to keep the drink cold longer.
  • For a spicier twist, rim the glass with a mixture of salt and ground cinnamon.
  • Substitute pear juice with fresh pear puree for a more natural texture and flavor.
